Your UNISON branch acts on your behalf to represent your interests. Elected branch representatives argue for your interests on various committees, make representations to management on issues affecting UNISON members, give you advice and support if you have a workplace issue and can accompany you to meetings relating to issues including grievance and disciplinary.

Your branch is also your voice in the wider union, giving you the chance to have your say on issues like pay and your terms and conditions which are agreed nationally.

Your local representatives are ordinary workers just like you, but have been fully trained to support you and have access to management and privileged information to allow them to support you and your fellow members.

If you are interested in finding out about being a UNISON workplace representative, please contact Branch Secretary Robert Clark: robertclark@nhs.net
